Get Involved

There are several ways you may get involved with Get Sarasota Insured.

  • Lend your expertise
    GSI welcomes local businesses, organizations, and community members to join us in addressing the issue of the uninsured in Sarasota County.  Your help can make a difference.
     
    We need retired and active independent insurance agents and brokers to counsel individuals and small business owners about health coverage options, both private insurance and public programs, and local healthcare resources.  Agents and brokers are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the Code of Ethics established by the National Association of Health Underwriters.  Agents and brokers cannot represent their business or any one insurance company as a volunteer for GSI and must present themselves as a GSI volunteer at any public event or when providing a GSI one-on-one consultation.   All GSI volunteers sign an agreement that they will abide by our code of ethics and conduct.  All volunteers provide general information and educational materials on health insurance options and local healthcare resources.  Agents and brokers may provide business cards to the public for those who might wish to contact them outside of GSI. 
     
    NOTE: Pharmacists needed.  Please consider volunteering a few hours each week at the Community Pharmacy of Sarasota County .
